- Other than its use in Heartbreakers and Miami Vice, the song has not appeared on any album or as a single, making it one of the few Miami Vice songs never to see a release in any form outside of the episode (and, in this case, film) in which it was used.
- One of the song's composers was Brian Ray, whose song "Today's a Beginning" also appeared in "Give a Little, Take a Little".
- Another song appearing in the film Heartbreakers is "Transformation" by Nona Hendryx, which appeared in the Miami Vice episode "Tale of the Goat".
