"Walk This Way" is a song by Run-D.M.C., featured on the album Raising Hell in 1986. It is a cover of the song of the same name by Aerosmith (who make a guest appearance on the track), originally released on the 1975 album Toy in the Attic. It appeared in the Miami Vice episode "Walk-Alone".
Notes[]
- The video of this song featured Aerosmith members Steven Tyler and Joe Perry dueling Run-D.M.C. in separate venues, then working together at the end.
- Tyler and Perry are singing on the recording as well, and helped revitalize Aerosmith's career. After "Walk This Way" hit the Billboard Top 5, Aerosmith had 11 consecutive Billboard Top 40 singles from 1987-1994.
- "Walk This Way" is one of the rare songs in that the remake out-performed the original, as Aerosmith's version reached #10 in 1976.
