Vincent Andrew Schiavelli (November 11, 1948 - December 26, 2005) was an American character actor, best known for his roles as caffeine-addicted biology teacher "Mr. Vargas" in the movie Fast Times at Ridgemont High (with James Russo) and reprised his role in the 1986 TV version, Fast Times, and as the "Subway Ghost" in the movie Ghost. Schiavelli appeared as the inventor of HAVOC, Lawrence Fowler, in the episode "World of Trouble" of the series Miami Vice.

Personal Life/Death[]

Schiavelli married actress Allyce Beasley from 1985 until their 1988 divorce, they have one son, Andrea (born 1987). He then married harpist Carol Mukhallan in 1992 until his death from lung cancer on December 26, 2005, in Polizzi Generosa, Italy. They have one son.
