- "Turn Up the Radio" debuted on Billboard's Hot 100 in December, 1984 but didn't reach the Top 40 until February, one month after "Little Prince" aired.
- The song reached its peak chart position the same week as another song featured in "Little Prince", "Relax".
- The song is one of several featured in Miami Vice that was later included in the video game Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, which was heavily inspired by the show. The song appears on the fictional in-game radio station V-Rock.
