Thomas Michael Disch (February 2, 1940 - July 4, 2008) was an American science fiction author who wrote the episode "Missing Hours" of the series Miami Vice.
Career[]
Disch wrote several science fiction novels, including The Genocides, Echo Round His Bones, Camp Concentration, and several others, as well as books of poetry, and the children's books The Brave Little Toaster. He won numerous awards, including the Hugo, Nebula, and others, for his works. Disch committed suicide on July 4, 2008, at the age of 68.
