Miami Vice Performer
Rupert Hine (born 1948)

Thinkman was actually a "virtual band" consisting of one member, Rupert Hine. "Their" song "Best Adventures" appeared in the episode "Red Tape" of the series Miami Vice.

Hine had been a solo act, recording solo albums from 1971-73 (two) and 1981-85 (three), in between he formed the band Quantum Jump, which had some minor success in the UK before disbanding. He released three albums under the Thinkman name; 1985's The Formula (featuring contributions from Stewart Copeland of The Police and Jamie West-Oram from The Fixx), 1988's Life is a Full-Time Occupation, and 1991's Hard Hat Zone. He released two more albums as a solo act in 1993 and 1994. Hine also produced albums for Yvonne Elliman, the Thompson Twins, Tina Turner, The Fixx, Rush, and many others, and continues to produce albums currently.
