Dr. Thelton W. McCorcle (1933-2020) made his only acting appearance as Jerome, a veterinarian who told Stan Switek and Ricardo "Rico" Tubbs all about cattle (including checking for pregnancy) in the episode "The Cows of October" of the series Miami Vice.
Dr. McCorcle was a real-life veterinarian, in the Reserves with the 478th CA Battalion in Miami at the time of the episode. He also worked for the US Department of Agriculture and was transferred from Miami to Auburn, Alabama, where he retired, and later passed away on April 4, 2022 in Auburn, Alabama at the age of 88. He is survived by his wife Elisabeth, four children, and eight grandchildren.
