- "The One" appeared as the B-side to the single "Unchain My Heart", which did not chart.
- Phoebe Snow performed guest vocals on the song. Snow had a #5 hit in 1975 with "Poetry Man", charting at the same time as Cocker's hit "You Are So Beautiful" (in fact, "Poetry Man" replaced "You Are So Beautiful" as the #5 song on April 12, 1975).
