The Damned is an English gothic-punk band whose songs "In Dulce Decorum" (in "Walk-Alone"), "Anything" (in "Duty and Honor"), and "Tightrope Walk" (in "Viking Bikers from Hell") appeared in the series Miami Vice.
Career[]
The Damned were formed in 1976 by Dave Vanian, Captain Sensible, Brian James (1950-2025), and drummer Rat Scabies (born Chris Millar). They played a gig with the Sex Pistols, then released their first album, Damned Damned Damned. They released four more albums before they had some success in the UK with their albums Phantasmagoria and Anything (featuring "Anything", "Tightrope Walk", and "In Dulce Decorum"). After Anything was released, their record label dropped them and they went through two decades of personnel changes, tours, and four more albums, and still touring today.
