Tangerine Dream is a German electronica band whose song "Alpha Centauri" appeared in the episode "Mirror Image" of the series Miami Vice.
Career[]
Tangerine Dream was founded in 1967 by German Edgar Froese (1944-2015), who remained with the group despite numerous personnel changes over the decades until his death in 2015. Their songs have been featured in over 60 films and TV shows, and their released album material covers over 160 albums. The group is still active today and continues to record and tour.
Notes[]
- Michael Mann is apparently something of a fan of Tangerine Dream; he employed them to compose the scores for his first two feature films, Thief (which featured Chuck Adamson, Dennis Farina, Willie Nelson, John Santucci and Tom Signorelli) and The Keep.
