Samuel Arthur Williams (born January 26, 1946) is an American playwright and actor who appeared as the Lead DEA Agent overseeing Agent Linda Colby in the episode "Knock, Knock... Who's There?" of the series Miami Vice.
Career[]
Williams began acting on the New York stage in 1973, appearing in the plays Black Jesus and Nowhere to Run, Nowhere to Hide, and wrote the plays Welcome to Black River, The Coming, and Do Unto Others in the mid-1970s. His 1979 comedy play Home was nominated for a Tony Award. He then went to the screen, debuting in the movie The Baron, followed by The Wanderers (with Michael Wright), Night of the Juggler (with Dan Hedaya and Tony Azito), Dressed to Kill (with Keith Gordon), and his most recent film appearance, A Rage in Harlem (with John Toles-Bey).
His TV roles included the shows 227, The New Mike Hammer, and The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, which he also wrote nine episodes and produced 19 others. He has also produced the series Martin and Hangin' With Mr. Cooper.
