Dick Callinan (October 20, 1927 - August 25, 2009) was an American actor who was known as Rick Callinan. He appeared as DEA Agent Ayres, sent to fill in for Ricardo "Rico" Tubbs while he is on "suspension pending dismissal", later was "shot" by another booby-trap which was actually a fake (as the bomb squad removed the real explosives previously) in the episode "Red Tape", and as Becker, owner of the Video Dating Service in the episode "Love at First Sight" of the series Miami Vice.
Some of his other acting roles were in the movies Operation Petticoat, Bananas, The Exorcist, The Lincoln Conspiracy, Island Claws (with Raymond Forchion, Mal Jones, and Will Knickerbocker), the TV movie Mercy or Murder? (with Susan Hatfield, Arnie Ross, and Roger Pretto), two episodes of B.L. Stryker (with Pretto, Aharon Ipale, Tom Kouchalakos, and Harold Bergman, Rita Moreno, Marc Macaulay, and Bob Gerchen), South Beach (with Vanity and Frank Pesce), and his final acting role, in the 1996 movie Private Lessons: Another Story.
Callinan died from undisclosed causes in Scottsdale, Arizona on August 25, 2009 at the age of 81).
