Randy Roberts (September 12, 1945 - December 15, 2014) directed the episode "Vote of Confidence" of the series Miami Vice.

Career[]

Roberts began his career as an editor, working on the movies The Gumball Rally, Freebie and the Bean Jaws 3-D, and other cult classics before moving into directing, beginning with an episode of Alfred Hitchcock Presents in 1986, other series include Tour of Duty, Quantum Leap, Early Edition, and others. Roberts produced Law and Order: SVU from 2003-2011.

Roberts died from stomach cancer on December 15, 2014 in Los Angeles, California at the age of 69.
