He had Artie Rollins (played by Ed O'Neill) working for him, not knowing he was really Arthur Lawson, FBI agent. When Rollins set up a meet between Kovics and Crockett and Tubbs, the Vice cops' cover is blown by a malfunctioning wire on Tubbs, and Kovics gives the order to kill them to Rollins, instead Rollins helps the Vice cops and then takes a machine gun to kill Kovics in his limo.

After Vice[]

Hecht would appear in a recurring role in Kate & Allie and Law & Order. His voice talents are in demand for audio-books, and he has performed on a number of them.
