Maryann Plunkett (born 1953) is an American stage and screen actress. She made her film acting debut in the show Miami Vice as Mary McDermott, girlfriend of Mark Jorgenson, Sr. (played by Paul Roebling) who acts as middleperson in his drug dealings (and is killed by Mark Sr. because she was busted) in the episode "Little Prince".

Early Life/Career

Plunkett was born in Lowell, Massachusetts. After graduating from the University of New Hampshire, she began a career in the stage with appearances in the play Agnes of God (with Amanda Plummer), Sunday In The Park With George (replacing Bernadette Peters), and her Tony Award-winning performance as Sally Smith in Me And My Girl. Plunkett made her TV debut on Miami Vice, then made guest appearances on A Man Called Hawk (with her future husband, Jay O. Sanders, Pepe Serna, and Wesley Snipes), Matlock, Star Trek: The Next Generation, L. A. Law, Law & Order, The Good Wife (with Joe Morton), House of Cards (with Larry Pine), The Knick, and Chicago Med (with Oliver Platt).

Her most Recent role was Joanne Rogers, Fred Rogers's wife in A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood (with Chris Cooper)

Personal Life

Plunkett married Jay O. Sanders in 1991, and have one son, Jamie (b. 1994).
