"Lunatic Fringe" is a song by Red Rider, features on the album As Far as Siam in 1981 and released as a single that year. It appeared in the Miami Vice episode "Smuggler's Blues".

- Tom Cochrane wrote the song as a response to what he felt was a rise in anti-Semitism in the 1970s, as well as reading a book about the Swedish humanitarian Raoul Wallenberg, who helped many Jews escape the Holocaust.
- "Lunatic Fringe" refers to people who have views on the extreme edges of established ideologies such as Liberalism and Conservatism.
- The song was used in the 1985 movie Vision Quest, and is a staple on Classic Rock stations today.
