Laurence John Fishburne III (born July 30, 1961, Augusta, Georgia) is an American actor and producer, who appeared as Keller, a prison guard in Bolton who was dealing drugs with the watch commander Fox in the episode "Walk-Alone" of the series Miami Vice.

Career[]

Fishburne began his career at the age of 12 on the soap opera One Life To Live, then appeared in the shows Trapper John, M.D., M*A*S*H, and Pee-Wee's Playhouse before appearing in the TV movies The Tuskegee Airmen and Miss Evers' Boys (with Joe Morton, for which Fishburne received an Emmy) before his starring role as Dr. Raymond Langston in the series CSI: Crime Scene Investigation (with Paul Guilfoyle) from 2009-2011. His post-CSI TV roles include Have a Little Faith (with Mykelti Williamson), Hannibal, Madiba, and his most recent TV appearance, in the series Black-ish.

His movie career is far more extensive, beginning with 1975's Cornbread, Earl and Me, followed by Apocalypse Now (with Albert Hall), Death Wish II (with Kevyn Major Howard), The Cotton Club (with Lonette McKee, Julian Beck, and James Remar), The Color Purple (with Margaret Avery), Band of the Hand (with Michael Carmine, Al Shannon, Paul Calderon, and Remar, directed by Paul Michael Glaser), Cadence (with John Toles-Bey), his Oscar-nominated performance as Ike Turner in the Tina Turner bio-pic What's Love Got to Do With It, Searching for Bobby Fischer (with Dan Hedaya and Anthony Heald), then played his role as Morpheus in the Matrix Trilogy, as well as appearances in Mystic River, Akeelah and the Bee (which Fishburne also produced), Mission Impossible III (with Ving Rhames), The Colony (with Bill Paxton), Ride Along (with John Leguizamo and Bruce McGill), John WIck: Chapter 2 (with Leguizamo, David Patrick Kelly, and Ian McShane), and his most recent movie appearance, The Mule.

Fishburne married actress Hajna O. Moss in 1985 until their divorce in the 1990s, they have two children, son Langston (born 1987) and daughter Montana (born 1991). Fishburne then married actress Gina Torres (Angel, The Shield) in 2002 until their 2018 divorce, they have one daughter, Delilah (born 2007).
