Kim Coates (born January 2, 1959, Saskatoon, Saskatchewan) is a Canadian character actor who made his TV debut as Jack Cragun, leader of the Violators motorcycle gang in the episode "Viking Bikers from Hell" of the series Miami Vice.

Career[]

Coates started his acting career in the movies, debuting in 1986's The Boy In Blue, followed by Smokescreen (with Dean Stockwell), The Last Boy Scout (with Bruce Willis, Bruce McGill, and Joe Santos), The Client (with Anthony Heald), Bad Boys (with Marc Macaulay and Will Knickerbocker), Waterworld, Pearl Harbor (with Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa), Open Range (with Annette Bening and James Russo), Assault on Precinct 13 (with Laurence Fishburne, John Leguizamo, and Brian Dennehy), Resident Evil: Afterlife, A Dark Truth (with Alfredo Alvarez Calderon), Cody, the Robosapien (with Penelope Ann Miller and Joaquim de Almeida), Cold Brook, Double Down South (with Tom Bower), and The Getback.
