Kevin Anderson (born January 13, 1960) is an American actor who made his TV debut in the show Miami Vice as a delusional blue man in the NYPD precinct where Crockett and Tubbs are in the episode "The Prodigal Son".

Career[]

Anderson was born in Gurnee, Illinois. He is a member of the Steppenwolf Theatre Company, with which he performed in plays sporadically from 1983-2005. In 1980 he made his film debut in Growing Up Young before his first breakthrough role as Tom Cruise's friend Chuck in Risky Business. His other movie roles include In Country (with Bruce Willis), Orphans (with Anthony Heald), Miles From Home (with Brian Dennehy), Sleeping With The Enemy (with Julia Roberts), Hoffa (with Paul Guilfoyle), Rising Sun (with Wesley Snipes, Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa, & Steve Buscemi), A Thousand Acres (with Vyto Ruginis), Charlotte's Web (with Roberts & Buscemi), Dockweiler, the Direct-to-DVD Curse of Chucky (with Brad Dourif), and his most recent movie appearance, 2014's Heaven Is for Real.
His TV roles have been limited to mainly TV movies such as Monday Night Mayhem (with John Turturro & John Heard) and The Wrong Man, plus a 2010 episode of Law and Order: SVU (with Richard Belzer). He was nominated for a Tony for his role in the 1999 revival of Death of a Salesman.
