"Jump (For My Love)" is a song by The Pointer Sisters, featured on the album Break Out in 1983 and released as a single in April 1984. It appeared in the Miami Vice episode "One Eyed Jack".
Notes[]
- The song's original title was simply "Jump", but (to avoid confusion) was changed after the group Van Halen had a #1 song called "Jump" earlier in the year.
- June Pointer provided lead vocals on the song, with her sisters Anita and Ruth singing backup. The sisters won the 1985 Grammy for Best Pop Performance by a Group or Duo (Vocal) with this song.
- The next song released on the Break Out album was "I'm So Excited", which appeared in the episode "Calderone's Return (Part I)".
