John Ortiz (born May 23, 1968) is an American actor, who appeared in the Miami Vice film as José Yero.
Career[]
Ortiz was born and raised in the Bushwick neighborhood of Brooklyn, New York, although he is of Puerto Rican ancestry. He made his film debut in Carlito's Way (with John Leguizamo, Penelope Ann Miller & Saundra Santiago) and went on to appear in films such as Aliens vs. Predator: Requiem, American Gangster (with Jon DeVries), Public Enemies (directed by Michael Mann), Fast & Furious and Fast & Furious 6.
