John Kapelos (March 8, 1956) is a Canadian actor. He made his television debut in the show Miami Vice as Andy Sloan, a public defender who has butted heads with Crockett, including getting off the people who killed a cop and then lying about Crockett not keeping deals to his client, Eddie Rivera (played by Al Shannon) in the episode "Milk Run".

Early Life/Career

Kapelos was born in London, Ontario. He later became a member of The Second City, Chicago, and toured with their Company (1978-1982) & the Resident Company (1982-86). Kapelos made his film debut in 1981's Thief, directed by Michael Mann (with Dennis Farina & John Santucci), then appeared in the movies Tootsie, Doctor Detroit (with Lynn Whitfield, Class, then teamed up with 80's movie legend John Hughes with appearances in Sixteen Candles, The Breakfast Club (with Paul Gleason), and Weird Science (with Bill Paxton). Other movies include My Man Adam (with Veronica Cartwright, Charlie Barnett and Chris Elliott), Off Beat (with Cleavant Derricks, John Turturro, Julie Bovasso, and Penn Jillette), Vibes (with Cyndi Lauper), Internal Affairs (with Katherine Borowitz), Guilty as Sin (with Don Johnson & Luis Guzman), and his most recent movie role, 22 Chaser.

In television, Kapelos appeared as a guest on several TV movies, as well as the series' Who's The Boss, Murder, She Wrote, Quantum Leap (with Dean Stockwell), Seinfeld (with Michael Richards), Dave's World (with Jsu Garcia), Nash Bridges (with Johnson), The Practice (episode included Lisa Eichhorn), It's Like, You Know (with Evan Handler), CSI: Miami (with Paul Guilfoyle), Justified, The Exes, Suits, and many others.
