John Bowman made his TV debut as child-killer and informant Paul Delgado in the episode "Honor Among Thieves?" of the series Miami Vice.
Bowman is also a successful writer, winning an Emmy for writing for Saturday Night Live in 1989, and also writing for In Living Color and Murphy Brown before co-creating (with Martin Lawrence and Topper Carew) the comedy Martin that ran between 1992-1997. Bowman also created the comedy shows Cedric The Entertainer Presents and Frank TV.
