James Hong (born February 22, 1929, Minneapolis, Minnesota) is an American actor who appeared as Yakuza boss Riochi Tanaka in the episode "The Rising Sun of Death" of the series Miami Vice.

Career

Hong's career spans over 50 years and over 300 credited roles. His movie career began in 1955 in the movie Soldier of Fortune, other appearances include a voiceover role in Godzilla, The Hawaiians (with Keye Luke), Chinatown, No Deposit, No Return, The In-Laws, Airplane!, Blade Runner (with Edward James Olmos and Brion James), Breathless (with John P. Ryan, Miguel Piñero, and Henry G.
