"I Got You Babe" is a song by Sheena Easton, recorded exclusively for Miami Vice in 1987. It is a cover of the song of the same name by Sonny & Cher, originally released on the 1965 album Look at Us. It appeared in the episodes "Like a Hurricane" and "Love at First Sight".
Notes[]
- "I Got You Babe" is one of 11 songs that were reused in more than one episode of Miami Vice.
- Other than its use in the show, the Sheena Easton version has not appeared on any album or as a single, making it one of the few Miami Vice songs never to see a release in any form outside of the episode in which it was used.
- The original Sonny & Cher version reached #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1965. Another version recorded by Etta James reached #69 in 1968, and a third by UB40 and Chrissie Hynde of the Pretenders reached #28 in 1985.
