"I Don't Care Anymore" is a song by Phil Collins, featured on the album Hello, I Must Be Going in 1983 and released as a single in February of that year. It appeared in the Miami Vice episode "No Exit".
Notes[]
- Just like his song "In the Air Tonight" in the pilot episode "Brother's Keeper", "I Don't Care Anymore" is used to build up to the climax of the episode (Amato's bust).
- The song ties in somewhat to the plot of the episode; Collins wrote the song as a means of voicing his anger over the collapse of his first marriage, while the episode depicts a woman trying to escape an abusive marriage.
- After the follow-up single "I Cannot Believe It's True" only reached #79 in June, 1983, Phil Collins would not have another single chart below the Billboard Top 40 until "Who Said I Would" reached #73 in March 1991, hitting the top 10 twelve consecutive times and having seven #1 hits.
