Gordon Avery was the District Attorney for Metro-Dade County, working on Leon Jefferson's court case.
Biography[]
When Leon Jefferson was arrested, Crockett and Avery conspired with Judge Clarence P. Rupp to have Jefferson released without charge in return for his cooperation with their case against Esteban Calderone -- in reality, Leon had done no such thing, but Crockett and Avery were hoping to pressure Leon into becoming an informant.

- Avery was evidently elected some time after 1980, as the District Attorney for Metro-Dade County at the time was Thomas Waldman. Similarly, he had evidently moved on by 1986, as at that time Gordon Martinez was serving as D.A.
