"Forever Tonight" is a song by Jan Hammer, featured on the album Escape from Television in 1987 and released as a single that year. A remix of the track, known as the Extended CD Mix, appeared in the Miami Vice episode "Child's Play".
Notes[]
- Per Hammer's own liner notes for Escape from Television, "Forever Tonight" was not originally written for Miami Vice (and at the time the album was released, had not featured in the show). The subsequent use of the Extended CD Mix in the series makes it unique in several ways compared to the bulk of Hammer's score music -- it wasn't specifically written for Vice, it was released before it actually appeared on the show, and a remix rather than the original was used.
- The B-side on the single release was the Jan Hammer track "Night Talk", first used in the episode "Made for Each Other".
