Esai Manuel Roberts (born October 1, 1962) is an American actor, who appeared in the show Miami Vice as Pete Romano, one of the invaders who killed a cop and worked in the Hair Emporium parking lot in the episode "The Home Invaders", and as Felipe Cruz, son of drug lord Jorge Cruz (played by Alfonso Arau) in the episode "God's Work".
Career[]
Morales was born in Brooklyn, New York to Puerto Rican parents. He learned his acting trade at the School of Performing Arts in Manhattan, then received his first movie role in 1982's Forty Deuce, then appeared in Bad Boys (with Reni Santoni), La Bamba (with Lou Diamond Phillips & Rosana DeSoto), Bloodhouds of Broadway (with Madonna), Freejack (with David Johansen & Amanda Plummer), In The Army Now (with Lori Petty), La Linea (with Joe Morton), Imprisoned (with Olmos, Laurence Fishburne, and John Heard), The Wall of Mexico (with Xander Berkeley), and his most recent movie appearance, in 2023's Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning Part I (with Ving Rhames).
His first TV appearance was on an ABC Afterschool Special, then guested in The Equalizer, Fame (with Eddie Castrodad), The Outer Limits (episode with Gary Basaraba & Kevin Conway), and American Family (with Edward James Olmos) before being cast in a regular role as Lt. Tony Rodriguez in NYPD Blue (from 2001-04), then as Major Edward Beck in the second season of Jericho. His other credits include Caprica, Major Crimes (with Jonathan Del Arco), Criminal Minds, From Dusk to Dawn: The Series, the 2015 TV movie Casa Vita, Ozark, How to Get Away with Murder, NCIS: Los Angeles, and Mars.

Morales and partner Elvimar Silva have been together since 2010, they have a daughter, Mariana Oliveria (born 2010).
