Donald L. Gold (born September 7, 1927, Chicago, Ill.) directed the episode "A Bullet for Crockett", as well as co-produced all 111 episodes of the series Miami Vice. Also was producer on MacMillan and Wife, Hawaii 5-0, Chips and Diagnosis Murder.

Some of Gold's other directorial appearances were in the series Father Knows Best, Hogan's Heroes, McMillan and Wife, The Six Million Dollar Man, Dennis The Menace, CHiPs, and Diagnosis Murder. Writing credits include Six Million Dollar Man, Project UFO, Hawaii 5-0, Chips, Kojak, Baretta, The Rockford Files and the feature film, Sex and the Teenage Mind.
