David Thornton (born June 12, 1953) is an American actor. He appeared in the show Miami Vice as Lile, assistant to David Traynor and killer of Diane Gordon in the episode "Rites of Passage".
Early Life/Career[]
Thornton was born in Cheraw, South Carolina. He made his acting debut in 1983's Sessions (with Lenny Von Dohlen), followed by the following selected appearances:

Thornton married singer Cyndi Lauper, whom he began dating during the making of Off and Running in 1991, and they have one son, Declyn Wallace Thornton Lauper, born in 1997.
