Black is the music outlet for English singer/songwriter Colin Vearncombe. The group's song "Sweetest Smile" appeared in the episode "Blood & Roses" of the series Miami Vice.
Career[]
Vearncombe formed Black in 1984, released twelve albums between 1987-2009, six as Black and six as Colin Vearncombe. Their debut album, Wonderful Life, featured "Sweetest Smile" and "Wonderful Life", both of which reached the UK Top 10, but none of their singles or albums charted in the US. Vearncombe continued to record albums under both his name and Black's name until his death from injuries suffered in an automobile accident on January 26, 2016 at Cork, Ireland.
