Austin Pendleton (born March 27, 1940) is an American actor, who appeared in the show Miami Vice as Max Rogo, assistant to Charlie Glide (played by Ned Eisenberg), and also killed Tim Davis (played by Clayton Rohner) in the episode "Yankee Dollar".

Career[]

Pendleton was born in Warren, Ohio. After graduating from Yale University, Pendleton began appearing on stage in the plays Fiddler On The Roof, The Diary of Anne Frank, and The Last Sweet Days of Isaac. He made his film debut in 1968's Petulia, followed by other movie appearances in Skidoo, Catch-22 (with Bob Balaban), What's Up, Doc?, The Thief Who Came to Dinner (with Gregory Sierra), The Muppet Movie (another "Max" role), Starting Over (with Jay O. Sanders), Simon (with Keith Szarabajka), My Man Adam (with Charlie Barnett & Veronica Cartwright), Off Beat (with John Turturro, Penn Jillette, Cleavant Derricks, and Julie Bovasso), Short Circuit, Hello Again (with Tony Sirico), My Cousin Vinny (with Bruce McGill), Mr. Nanny (with Afa Anoai & David Johansen), Searching For Bobby Fischer (with Laurence Fishburne, Dan Hedaya, and Anthony Heald), Guarding Tess (with James Lally), Home For The Holidays (with David Strathairn), Sgt.
