Antonio Juan Fargas (born August 14, 1946) is an American actor who appeared as Alejandro Gutierrez, a drug dealer in the episode "Mirror Image" of the series Miami Vice.

Career[]

Fargas began his career in movies, starting in the 1964 film The Cool World (with Clarence Williams III), then appeared in Shaft (with Isaac Hayes), Believe In Me (with Kevin Conway), Cisco Pike (with Karen Black), Foxy Brown (with Pam Grier), Cornbread, Earl, and Me (with Laurence Fishburne), Car Wash (with Bill Duke, Pepe Serna, and Jack Kehoe), Pretty Baby (with Seret Scott and Gerrit Graham), Streetwalkin' (with Melissa Leo and Annie Golden), Osmosis Jones (with Fishburne and Chris Rock), Once Fallen, and Until We Meet Again (with Michael Madsen), One Year Off (with Jeff Fahey) and Murder City.

Fargas' TV career started on a 1971 episode of The Bill Cosby Show, later appearing in Ironside, Police Woman, and Kojak before appearing for 69 episodes as "Huggy-Bear" of the series Starsky and Hutch (with David Soul and Paul Michael Glaser). Other roles post-Starsky include Charlie's Angels, MacGyver, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, Heroes, Everybody Loves Chris (with Rock) Brothers (with C.C.H. Pounder), Black Lightning (with James Remar), and Code Black (with Luis Guzman).

Fargas' son Justin played professional football with the Oakland Raiders and Denver Broncos from 2003-2010.
