- The song was the B-side to the only single released from Little Miss Dangerous, the title track, which appears in the episode "Little Miss Dangerous".
- "The Motor City Madman" only reached the Billboard Top 40 once as a solo act, with his signature song, "Cat Scratch Fever" (#30 in 1977). His 1968 hit with his group The Amboy Dukes, "Journey To The Center Of The Mind", hit #16.
