Detective Alessi (born 1941) was an officer with the Metro-Dade Police Department, working in the Homicide Division.
Alessi arrested Tyler Duvalle on the assumption he was part of the Jamaican rip-off crew that had been hitting drug deals around Miami, attempting to beat a confession out of the innocent suspect.
Biography[]
When Tyler Duvalle was arrested for driving a van linked to the shooting of Detectives Price and Esteban, Alessi considered the man as good as guilty for their shooting -- and Price's murder. Determined to secure a confession and disbelieving of Duvalle's story that he merely found the van abandoned, Alessi savagely beat his suspect in the hopes of securing a confession. He was stopped by Crockett and Rodriguez, who were disgusted by his actions. After ensuring Duvalle was safe from further assault, Rodriguez promised to have Alessi charged for misconduct.
